Guillaume Roussel, film composer & orchestrator.

At the age of 5, inspired by his Grandfather (composer and director of the Bogota National Academy in Colombia), Guillaume Roussel started studying classical piano. Drawn to film music and certain composers (like Vangelis, Danny Elfman, John Williams), he started writing directly in the symphonic style used in films. He learnt the principles of harmony, counterpoint, and fugue with the Academy of Fontainebleau (France) from 1993 to 1996, then with the National Academy of Saint-Maur from 1996 to 1998. As early as 1996, Guillaume Roussel started working for pictures such as TV Advertising and Short films.

In addition to his growing classical background, Guillaume Roussel always wished to broaden his knowledge to other musical styles. He studied Electro music and is also a stage musician.

But, it is above all, through film music that Guillaume Roussel spread his wings. In 2005, he was noticed by a leading musical director in French Film: Edouard Dubois ("Amelie From Montmartre").
